These thread and needlework pieces are made in the area of Jaipur, India, under the direction of Neerja International, a non-profit company organized to give artisans an opportunity to make traditional crafts while remaining in their villages.

The women who do this threadwork use traditional hand stitching and embroidery methods similar to those of their mothers and grandmothers.
