For centuries India has been a source
of fine fabrics and textiles to the world. Our Pieced
Sari Wall-Hangings and Table-Runners are made for us
by Kanak and Radha Kumar, an extraordinary husband and
wife artisan team from Northern India.
They carefully cut
and piece vintage saris together to create these one-of-a-kind
textiles that show the intricate patterns of embroidery,
beadwork, and gold and silver wrapped threadwork found in
the traditional costumes of India.
Kanak and Radha take great pride in their work and have begun to teach their
older children how to help in their business.
